A tragic coal mine accident in Bazid Khel area of Darra Adam Khel claimed the lives of a miner and two Rescue 1122 workers on Friday.

According to reports, the incident occurred when rainwater flooded the mine, trapping a worker inside. Rescue personnel entered the mine in an attempt to save him but were themselves caught in the accident.

The bodies of the miner and the two Rescue 1122 officials were later retrieved and shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police and local administration cordoned off the area following the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident۔
