Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit: Kuwait Crown Prince Says Qatar's Security Key To Arab And Islamic World

Doha: HH Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, affirmed Kuwait's full support for all measures taken by the State of Qatar to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Speaking at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, HH the Crown Prince stressed that Qatar's security is a cornerstone of the security of both Arab and Islamic nations, inseparable from their collective stability. He noted that the blatant Israeli aggression against Doha is a clear indication of the occupier's intent to undermine any efforts toward de-escalation and the achievement of sustainable peace in the region.

HH Sheikh Sabah Khaled reiterated Kuwait's call on international community and UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and take serious, effective measures to halt systematic aggression against countries in the region and hold its perpetrators accountable. He also emphasized the need for coordinated regional and international efforts to stop the escalation in the region and reject any actions that fuel extremism, hatred, and destabilization of regional security.

He noted that since the beginning of the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza nearly two years ago, diligent and sincere efforts of the State of Qatar have been closely observed in protecting the lives of the Palestinian people, preventing war crimes, mass atrocities, and starvation, and working toward a ceasefire agreement among all parties. He praised Qatar's noble initiatives in supporting Palestinian rights based on international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, aiming to establish an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, thereby contributing to security and stability in the region.
