SSU Exposes Alleged FSB Agent Inside Ukrainian Army UAV Unit
Following a series of counterintelligence measures, a mobilized serviceman was detained. While serving in a strike UAV company on the eastern front, he was spying for the enemy.
The investigation established that the agent was passing on information to Russia about the preparation of Ukrainian drone operations on the frontline, including timing, flight directions, and approximate targets of the UAVs.
He also transmitted details about permanent deployment points and combat positions of his brigade.
According to available data, the enemy used this intelligence to carry out preemptive strikes against Ukrainian drone operators with long-range artillery and air-dropped bombs.
The investigation revealed that during these attacks, the agent received prior warnings from the FSB so he could leave the strike zone in advance.
SSU operatives detained him as he was preparing to pass new intelligence to the enemy.
The security service also carried out additional measures to secure the Defense Forces' positions.
According to investigators, the Russian agent turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi. After being mobilized into the UAV unit, he sought contact with Russian intelligence via Telegram.
He was later recruited by the FSB and offered cooperation in exchange for money.
