For The First Time, Ukraine's State Budget Includes Revenues From Fighting Shadow Economy

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Roksolana Pidlasa, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget, while analyzing the government's draft budget.

She noted that these funds are part of the“defense reserve” and are allocated under a separate category in the special fund.

“It will be interesting to see how the 'de-shadowing plan' is implemented,” Pidlasa said.

Overall, state budget revenues are expected to grow by more than UAH 452 billion compared to 2025. The main increases will come from VAT (+UAH 165.2 billion), personal income tax (+UAH 93.6 billion, due to higher pay for military personnel), and a share of the National Bank of Ukraine's net profit (+UAH 61.8 billion).

The National Bank of Ukraine is expected to transfer a record sum of UAH 146 billion to the budget next year.

In addition, export duties on rapeseed and soybeans (UAH 9.3 billion) will be directed to financial support for agricultural producers, as envisioned in the relevant draft law.

As reported, the 2026 draft state budget provides for the creation of a UAH 200 billion“defense reserve,” which is a key innovation among defense expenditures.
