On behalf of the United States of America, I offer my sincere congratulations to the people of Costa Rica as you celebrate the 204th anniversary of your independence.

The United States and Costa Rica have long enjoyed a strong and productive relationship grounded in respect and shared interests across the region and fueled by a dynamic and growing trade and investment relationship. Costa Rica continues to play an important role in promoting peace and stability, economic development, and cooperation across Central America.

We look forward to deepening our partnership in the years ahead as we work together to strengthen our economies, improve security, and support prosperity throughout our region.
