Council For Arab And International Relations Warns Aggression Against Qatar Sets Dangerous Precedent
Doha, Qatar: The Council for Arab and International Relations strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces' attack on a residential compound in Doha, describing it as a heinous act that sets a dangerous precedent and constitutes a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty, as well as international conventions and diplomatic norms.
Kuwaiti daily Al Qabas quoted the Council's Chairman, Mohammad Jassem Al-Sager, as saying the aggression represents an alarming escalation in the conduct of the occupying power, reflecting political recklessness and a brazen disregard for state sovereignty. He warned that such actions threaten regional and international peace and security, while exposing the true nature of the occupying entity.
The Council praised Qatar's sincere and persistent efforts to stop the genocide carried out by Israeli forces against defenseless civilians in Gaza, highlighting its impartial diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives aimed at ending bloodshed and securing a comprehensive ceasefire.
It described the targeting of Doha as a desperate and blatant response to Qatar's principled stance in defense of justice, further proof of the occupation's contempt for international law and its continued evasion of accountability.
Reaffirming full solidarity with Qatar, the Council stressed that this reckless Israeli behavior constitutes a direct challenge to the international community and a mockery of its legal and moral framework. It called for urgent and effective measures by the United Nations, the Security Council, and all free nations to end Israeli provocations and halt the cycle of aggression.
Al-Sager emphasized that any threat to the security and stability of an Arab state“crosses all red lines” and constitutes a direct assault on collective Arab national security. He urged a unified Arab stance against this dangerous precedent, reaffirming the existential nature of the conflict with the Zionist entity and its expansionist ambitions across the Arab world.
He added that Israel's violations of Arab sovereignty reflect its long-standing policy of rejecting recognized borders in pursuit of the so-called“Greater Israel” project, boasting of reshaping the Middle East and extending its influence across the region.
The Council further underlined its conviction that rebuilding joint Arab action on solid foundations-through political, economic, military, and security integration-remains the key to strengthening Arab deterrence and harnessing the nation's immense potential.
