Türkiye Attracts 47.25 Million International Visitors
(MENAFN) Türkiye welcomed 47.25 million foreign travelers in the first ten months of 2025, according to official statistics released on Friday.
Data from the Culture and Tourism Ministry indicated that the number of international arrivals between January and October declined slightly by 0.1% compared to the same timeframe last year.
Istanbul, Türkiye's most populous city and a leading tourist hub, received 33.9% of all foreign guests, amounting to 16.01 million visitors during this period.
The city of Antalya, known for its Mediterranean resorts, and the northwestern city of Edirne, which shares borders with Bulgaria and Greece, ranked next in terms of foreign arrivals.
Regarding the origins of international travelers, Russia led with a 13.5% share during the period, followed by Germany and the United Kingdom.
In October alone, Türkiye hosted 5.68 million foreigners, marking an increase of 4.3% compared to the same month last year.
