Vance Mentions Trump’s Nonstop Work Ethic
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump reportedly operates almost without resting, Vice President J.D. Vance stated, highlighting that the American leader often reaches out to his aides and cabinet members at any hour, day or night.
In an interview with Fox News host Lara Trump, Vance described that the president can call his team at 12:30 am or 2 in the morning and then join another call at 6 am. “It’s like, ‘Mr. President, did you go to sleep last night? Like, what is going on here?’” Vance remarked.
“One thing I’ve learned just working with him every day is, he doesn’t have an off switch,” he added.
Media coverage has long portrayed Trump as a light sleeper, averaging less than five hours of rest per night. Officials within his administration have shared comparable experiences.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick mentioned in July that Trump frequently phones him shortly after midnight.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. also told reporters last month that Trump calls him “three or four times a week” regarding health policy issues.
Vance’s statements emerge amid growing speculation about Trump’s health in recent weeks. Observers have cited his limited rest and photographs showing bruises.
The White House explained that these are due to regular aspirin use and a condition called chronic venous insufficiency, dismissing assertions of more serious health concerns.
Last month, rumors circulated online suggesting that Trump had died following a short absence from public appearances.
Hashtags like #TrumpIsDead gained popularity on social media, though the president soon returned to public view.
