HUR Cyber Corps Blocks Fuel Cards In Russia, Disrupts Dozens Of Online Platforms - Source

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to a source within HUR, a large-scale DDoS attack began on the morning of September 7, targeting Russia's network infrastructure responsible for online fuel payments, including fuel card operations.

Among the affected systems were the advanced payment systems platform (used for Rospetrol fuel cards), as well as servers belonging to Rostelecom and Lukoil.

The operation reportedly caused financial losses estimated between $1 million and $3 million.

That same day, Ukrainian cyber specialists struck the information and communication infrastructure of the K-Corp telecom provider, disabling over 700 switches and 13 servers across two data centers, effectively halting the company's operations.

According to the source, K-Corp was targeted by Ukrainian hackers because it provides services to the Russian defense company Kalashnikov Concern, which is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including women and children.

Additionally, dozens of Russian websites were attacked, displaying greetings for Ukraine's Military Intelligence Day on their homepages.

As earlier reported, on September 7, posters featuring the emblem of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence appeared across Moscow - on fences, in parks, at bus stops, and on residential buildings - with messages reminding that accountability for Russian aggression is inevitable.
