Kuwait Hosts Ministerial GCC Cybersecurity Meeting To Enhance Digital Security


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- The ministerial committee for cybersecurity authorities and centers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held its meeting in Kuwait on Monday, with the participation of heads of national cybersecurity bodies from member states.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cybersecurity cooperation across the GCC, including joint action plans, mechanisms for information sharing, and initiatives to strengthen digital protection and ensure continuity of vital services.
Participants reviewed current efforts to address growing cyber threats, discussed infrastructure development, and explored methods to build national expertise in cybersecurity fields.
The committee also followed up on the implementation of previous decisions and outlined future strategies to support unified regional responses to cyber risks.
This meeting represents a key step toward greater Gulf cooperation in cybersecurity, aiming to protect shared interests and maintain the safety and stability of the region's digital space. (end)
