1,078 Fines In Maidan Hawali Traffic, Security Campaign - Moi

KUWAIT, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior conducted a traffic and security campaign from Thursday night to early Friday in the Maidan Hawali area, resulting in 1,078 traffic citations and 14 arrests.
In a statement issued Friday, the Ministry said the campaign was carried out under the directives of Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and supervised by Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamed Al-Dawas.
The campaign led to the arrest of five absconders, the detention of seven residency and labor law violators, the seizure of one vehicle wanted under judicial order, three vehicles wanted for traffic violations, and the arrest of an individual in abnormal condition, the statement added.
The Ministry stressed that such campaigns will be intensified across various areas as part of its ongoing security strategy. (end)
