Cairo will host Ai Everything Middle East & Africa from 10 to 12 February 2026, establishing itself as the region's premier destination for artificial intelligence innovation and collaboration. Supported by Egypt's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and ranking among the top 10 countries globally in AI and machine learning-unique among African nations-Egypt is leveraging this event to consolidate its ambition as a regional AI powerhouse.

Organised under the GITEX GLOBAL network, Ai Everything MEA will unfold in Cairo, bringing together global AI enterprises, startups, thought‐leaders, and policymakers from over 60 countries. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is hosting the event in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency.

Egypt's National AI Strategy has set out to embed AI across key economic and social sectors-outsourcing and shared services, semiconductor design, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, manufacturing, digital health, fintech, energy, education, and digital public services. The summit will serve as the focal point for showcasing these priorities in action.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, emphasised that AI is reshaping global competitiveness and that Egypt seeks not just to adapt but to lead through responsible AI deployment, policy innovation, and inclusive development. He described the summit as an opportunity to align global expertise with domestic priorities.

Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, characterised the event as a strategic landmark in positioning Egypt as an innovation and co‐creation hub. He underlined the summit's role in attracting deep‐tech investment, empowering local startups, and translating ideas into practical solutions.

The summit's agenda includes a high‐level AI summit followed by a dynamic exhibition showcasing cross‐sectoral applications and frontier technologies. Attendees will include major tech players such as Atos, Cyshield, HPE, and IBM. Moreover, over 200 venture capitalists with more than US$1 trillion in assets are expected to engage with Egyptian and regional startups, alongside the launch of a significant youth‐tech academy to harness the engineering talent of Egypt's half‐million‐strong annual graduate cohort.

Egypt's ascension in the AI domain is backed by a robust strategy and strategic investments. As per the 2024 GBS World Competitiveness Index, Egypt stands among the world's leading nations in AI and machine learning-standing alone in Africa at that level. This context underscores the summit's potential to translate national capability into regional impact.

The summit promises to function as a dynamic ecosystem, where policymakers, industry experts, startups, and investors converge. With AI integrated into crucial services and economic sectors, Egypt aims to accelerate deployment and synergy between global innovation and local needs.

Egypt's strategic digital momentum is driven not only by event execution but also by foundational measures such as semiconductor ecosystem development. In 2024, Egypt partnered with China's Tsinghua Unigroup to launch a US$300 million fund targeting semiconductors and AI. The local semiconductor startup ecosystem includes companies like Si‐Ware Systems, Avelabs, SilMinds, Wasiela, NeoSpectra-and notably, InfiniLink, which secured US$10 million in seed funding in 2025 to develop AI‐optimised optical transceiver chiplets.

Meanwhile, Egypt's AI‐enabled healthcare capabilities are advancing through projects such as an AI‐driven electronic health records system designed to modernise patient data management and diagnostic workflows. Utilising advanced language models and vision transformers, the platform demonstrates Egypt's commitment to embedding AI in public‐health infrastructure.
