Attracting Investment And Economic Ties Takes Panama President Mulino To Brazil -


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Brasilia, Brazil : President José Raúl Mulino arrived in the Brazilian capital this afternoon with an agenda focused on attracting investment and strengthening cooperation between Panama and Brazil. His official visit includes a meeting with his counterpart, Luiz Inácio“Lula” Da Silva, the signing of important economic agreements, and his participation as a keynote speaker at a business forum seeking to position Panama within the South American giant's private sector. At 4:02 pm local time , the presidential plane HP 1A touched down at the Brasilia Air Base, where Mulino was received by Colonel Nicolas Silva Mendes, commander of the base, as well as by the ambassadors of Panama and Brazil, Flavio Méndez and João Mendes , respectively.

This Thursday, August 28, the Panamanian president will walk up the ramp of the Planalto Palace, where he will be officially received by Lula da Silva, marking the beginning of a bilateral meeting that will later be extended to include high-ranking officials from both nations. In the afternoon, Mulino will be the keynote speaker at the Business Forum“Brazil-Panama Dialogue: Building Bridges for the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean,” where he will highlight Panama's strategic advantages, privileged location, and logistical facilities that facilitate foreign investment to Brazilian businesspeople. The official visit aims to strengthen Panama-Brazil cooperation, open new opportunities for Brazilian investment in Panama, and maximize the benefits of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) for the Isthmus.
