In remarks to KUNA following the meeting, Al-Bader emphasized that the event demonstrated the shared responsibility and collective commitment of GCC member states to closely monitor developments in Syria and uphold regional security.
He affirmed that GCC states have long been proactive in extending humanitarian and relief assistance to Syrians, while also adopting firm political stances that support international efforts aimed at preserving Syria's unity, sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity.
Al-Bader stressed that this meeting represents a continuation of previous efforts and an implementation of the GCC Ministerial Council's 164th session decision, hosted by Kuwait in June, which highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with Syria.
The participating GCC states reaffirmed their determination to work alongside regional and international partners to enhance cooperation with Syria, particularly in economic, developmental, and investment fields, thereby contributing to rebuilding institutions, reviving social life, and easing Syrian suffering.
