Afghan, Kuwaiti Officials Discuss Stronger Islamic World Ties
KABUL (Pajhwok): A delegation from Kuwait visiting Kabul has described close and positive relations among Islamic countries as essential, saying Afghans have many opportunities for progress and economic growth.
In a statement, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir met with Dr Djeeh Khalaf Al-Shary, a former member of Kuwait's parliament, together with Jarallah, a member of a charitable foundation, and businessman Sheikh Fahd Al-Hanan.
Dr Djeeh Khalaf Al-Shary said the purpose of his visit to Afghanistan was to strengthen the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's (IEA) relations with the Islamic world and with Kuwait.
He added that close and positive ties among Islamic countries are a pressing need of the time and should be reinforced, noting that Afghans have considerable opportunities for advancement and economic development.
During the meeting, Maulvi Kabir said fostering positive relations with Islamic countries is a priority for the IEA.
He emphasised that the IEA, as a responsible government in Afghanistan, has begun working for the country's progress and is striving to continue its economic activities as an effective system in the region.
