Govt Launches Next Phase Of 100 Days Transformation Agenda For Developed Nation Vision
The Minister outlined that the next 100-day period will implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day directive to expedite India's development trajectory.
The initiative focuses on realising the vision of a developed nation by 2047 through the implementation of the 'Panch Prans' (Five Pledges), with every citizen expected to contribute toward making India prosperous and developed by the target year.
Goyal emphasised that this transformation effort will unite 140 crore Indians as 'one team, one family' while working to eliminate colonial mindsets and celebrate India's cultural heritage and traditions.
The Minister expressed confidence that no external force could prevent India from achieving developed nation status, highlighting the focus on national unity and integrity.
The Minister referenced growing global confidence in India's economic trajectory, citing expert assessments that position India as an emerging leader in consumer markets and investment destinations.
He attributed this progress to nationwide initiatives including Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs, which have strengthened supply chains and built economic resilience across sectors.
The Minister highlighted Maharashtra's status as India's largest state economy and its significant contribution to national growth.
He outlined the government's ongoing reform efforts to enhance ease of living and business operations by reducing regulatory burdens, streamlining compliance requirements, and encouraging industrial investment.
Regarding international trade relations, the Minister reported progress on multiple free trade agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Mauritius, EFTA nations (Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland), and the United Kingdom.
He described these agreements as balanced and equitable arrangements that benefit micro, small, and medium enterprises, agricultural sectors, and animal husbandry while protecting domestic dairy industry interests and expanding global market access for Indian products and services.
Concluding his remarks, Goyal reiterated Prime Minister Modi's call for citizens to be 'vocal for local' while transforming governance processes and maintaining focus on quality and cost competitiveness.
The Minister emphasised that Atmanirbhar Bharat serves as the foundation for achieving Vikshit Bharat (Developed India).
