Israel warplanes injure two people in new attack on Lebanon

(MENAFN) Two people were injured Thursday night during a series of Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese official media and security sources.

A Lebanese news agency reported that an Israeli drone launched two missiles at a motorcycle in Aitaroun village, central southern Lebanon. The health ministry confirmed two injuries, while a security source said the intended target was a municipal police officer.

Israel stated the strikes targeted Hezbollah underground tunnels and pledged to continue operations to neutralize threats. Despite a ceasefire brokered in November 2024, Israeli attacks have persisted.
