Doha, Qatar: Roblox, a well-known online game platform and game creation system, is no longer accessible in Qatar, complained users on social media.

This move follows a social media call in the past week to ban the application due to child safety concerns.

Roblox remains available and can still be downloaded via the Android and Apple stores.

However, upon launch, users are unable to access past the home page with a "No Network. Please try when connected to internet" message displayed.

The web version of the game also shows "This site can't be reached" for users.

Ooni , a free non-profit software measuring internet censorship, further indicated that Roblox presented signs of access anomalies on August 13, 2025, as of 7:32am.

Roblox's inaccessibility has yet to be officially confirmed by a government body in the country.

Community members on social media have long lodged complaints about Roblox for its hidden dangers and safety concerns for children who are the common users of the game.

Discussions among online users praised the possibility of Roblox getting banned citing that the platform goes against moral values, customs, traditions, and poses safety hazards for children.

Others also pointed out that Roblox getting banned would help ease parents' responsibility in monitoring their child's online activity.

Meanwhile, avid Roblox users were disheartened following the game's inaccessibility as some suggested to heighten age requirements and regulate parental control as an alternative step instead of blocking the site.

Roblox, developed by Roblox Corporation, has been downloaded over 1.5 billion times across all platforms. It was also recorded as the most-downloaded gaming app in the Google Play Store worldwide in June 2025, according to Statista.
