UAE Weather: Red, Yellow Alerts Issued For Fog Temperatures To Reach 48Oc In Some Areas

Residents in parts of the UAE should brace for intense heat on Monday (July 14), with temperatures expected to climb as high as 48oC, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

According to the weather department, mercury in Abu Dhabi's Gasyoura area is expected to hit 48oC, while Al Quaa could see highs of up to 47oC. Dubai is expected to reach 43oC, and Abu Dhabi will see a peak temperature of around 42oC.

Humidity is expected to increase during the night and into Tuesday morning, particularly along coastal areas. Overall, weather conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with some cloud development expected over some northern and eastern parts of the country.

Red and yellow fog alerts were issued by the weather authority for parts in Abu Dhabi shown on the following map. Take a look:

Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly at speeds of 10–20 kmph, occasionally picking up and reaching up to 35 kmph.

These winds will get freshening at times and will cause blowing dust during daytime.

Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will experience slight sea conditions.
