6.9 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Maluku Province In Indonesia

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) An earthquake measuring 6.9 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Monday Maluku Province in Indonesia.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea, 170 kilometers southeast of the region, and at a depth of 108 kilometers, the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) said.

The agency expected aftershocks, but no tsunami warnings were issued in the aftermath of the earthquake.
