KISR: Dr. Badriya Al-Halili Joins Int. Scientific Cmte In S. Korea

KUWAIT, July 13 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) announced on Sunday the selection of Dr. Badriya Al-Halili, as a member of the scientific committee for the 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Electrical Engineering and Energy, scheduled to take place in the Republic of Korea from March 16 to 17, 2026.
KISR said in a press statement that Dr. Al-Halili is the first Kuwaiti, Gulf, and Arab researcher to receive this distinguished international recognition.
This selection reflects the outstanding scientific, professional, and leadership status of KISR researchers internationally, the statement added.
The conference will witness participation from distinguished scientists and university professors from various countries, including the Republic of Korea, China, several European countries, and the US.
The event will focus on fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among researchers, scholars, students, and industry experts worldwide, with an emphasis on renewable and sustainable energy and engineering.
KISR explained that the conference will address several scientific topics, most notably renewable energy technologies, smart grids, energy storage solutions, clean and sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and transportation innovations.
Additionally, the conference will also discuss carbon pricing, low-carbon energy policies, big data applications in energy systems, education on energy systems and electronics, energy disasters and protection, and renewable energy applications. (end)
