Amarnath Yatra Set To Hit 1 Lakh Today

Since its commencement on July 3, the pilgrimage has steadily gained momentum. The daily figures show a consistent upward trend: 12,348 on Day 1, 14,515 on Day 2, 21,109 on Day 3, 21,512 on Day 4, and 23,857 on Day 5.
The yatra continues to run smoothly along both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes under a multi-layered security cover, with all essential services including medical and rescue teams on alert.
Meanwhile, the sixth batch of 8,605 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu early Monday morning - the largest batch so far. The group included 6,486 men, 1,826 women, 42 children, 216 sadhus, and 35 sadhvis. Of them, 3,486 pilgrims opted for the Baltal route, while 5,119 took the traditional Pahalgam path.
