Meity Launches 'Tec-Verse 2025' To Accelerate Indigenous Tech Innovation

(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Jun 28 (KNN) The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched 'Tec-Verse 2025', a two-day technology showcase, on June 27.

The event convened India's leading research and development organisations to promote innovation, collaboration, and the commercialisation of indigenous technologies.

S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, inaugurated the event and outlined the Ministry's vision to establish a unified innovation platform with active participation from its leading R&D institutions-C-DAC, C-MET, and SAMEER.

The initiative is aimed at creating a launchpad for Indian tech products with global relevance, encouraging early-stage industry participation, and aligning innovation with real-world demands.

“Tec-Verse is not just an exhibition-it's a launchpad,” said Secretary Krishnan, adding that India is moving decisively from a service-based economy to one that is product- and innovation-driven.

“We are building computing infrastructure, foundation models, and domain-specific applications to meet pressing societal needs. These technologies are already addressing challenges in healthcare, agriculture, telecom, and more,” he noted.

The opening day saw the participation of over 1,000 stakeholders, including senior officials from MeitY, industry leaders, startups, academic institutions, and researchers.

The day featured a slew of announcements, including four product launches, eight technology transfers (ToTs), and 15 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading industry players such as BEL, TCS, SCL-Mohali, L&T, and Voltix Semicon Pvt. Ltd.

These collaborations span advanced domains including Industry 4.0, India Sovereign Cloud, NextGen packaging technologies, and semiconductors.

Amitesh Sinha, Additional Secretary, MeitY emphasised that Tec-Verse showcases over 150 cutting-edge innovations across areas such as quantum computing, AI, 6G communications, cybersecurity, robotics, medical electronics, power systems, EMI/EMC solutions, and UAV technologies.

“The event marks a transformative phase in India's R&D landscape and invites industry to engage directly with developers to explore co-development opportunities,” he said.
