Tunisia Slams U.S. Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites
(MENAFN) Tunisia has forcefully condemned the overt Israeli aggression targeting Iran, alongside the recent U.S. missile strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, according to an official declaration from the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued Monday.
The ministry emphasized that Tunisia not only rejects these hostile actions but demands their immediate stop, underscoring that "international legality neither authorizes nor justifies such acts under any cover or pretext."
Additionally, Tunisia cautioned against allowing this "brutal aggression" to divert global attention from ongoing atrocities, especially the persistent conflict faced by the Palestinian people.
The ministry accused some media organizations of intentionally diverting focus from Israeli activities in Palestine, hinting at a coordinated attempt to suppress the Palestinian liberation movement.
"The determination of the Palestinian people will never be broken or diminished until they reclaim all their legitimate rights and establish an independent, fully sovereign state across the entire territory of Palestine," the statement declared.
Wrapping up, the ministry warned that the global legal framework established after World War II is disintegrating.
This statement came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that American forces had launched attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
These military actions unfolded amid a rapidly intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel, now entering its second week.
Iran condemned the U.S. strikes, labeling them as Washington’s "brutal aggression" against its sovereignty and holding the United States accountable for the severe repercussions of what Iran described as a "serious crime."
