Israel Vows to Strengthen Strikes on Iran

(MENAFN) Israel’s defense chief pledged on Thursday to step up offensive operations against Iran, aiming to weaken the country's leadership.

“The Prime Minister and I have directed the IDF (army) to escalate the intensity of strikes against strategic targets in Iran and governmental targets in Tehran to neutralize threats to the State of Israel and undermine the Ayatollah regime,” Israel Katz declared via his official X platform.

Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu similarly warned that Iran would “pay the price” following its missile barrage on central areas of Israel earlier in the day.

As reported by a public Israeli broadcaster, between 20 and 30 Iranian missiles struck various locations including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Holon, and Soroka Hospital situated in Beersheba, in Israel’s south.

An Iranian official news outlet stated the missiles were aimed at the Israeli army’s and intelligence agency’s command posts near Soroka Hospital.

The outlet added that the resulting shockwave led to injuries at the medical facility.

Israeli officials reported that at least 65 individuals were wounded due to this latest series of missile attacks.
