Türkiye Heightens Border Security

(MENAFN) In light of growing unrest in the Middle East, Türkiye has intensified its border control and aerial defense, responding to the unfolding situation with reinforced precautionary actions.

Defense Minister Yasar Guler, during a briefing on Wednesday, strongly criticized Israel’s recent military operations targeting Iran and cautioned that these developments could lead to widespread instability throughout the region.

Speaking via video link with top military officials, Guler underscored that Türkiye has been “closely monitoring” the developments since the outbreak of the assaults and is implementing “comprehensive and robust measures” to protect national territory.

He stated, “Under the directives of our president, we are acting with a proactive security paradigm.” Guler added that, in tight cooperation with all pertinent agencies, Türkiye is evaluating “all scenarios that could affect our country.”

Guler expressed strong disapproval of Israel’s latest moves, declaring, “We condemn Israel’s unlawful attacks launched against Iran, our neighboring country, last Friday.”

He further denounced the pattern of Israeli actions, stating, “Israel’s lawless operations—first in Gaza, then Lebanon, and now Iran—once again reveal its clear intent to spread conflict across the entire region.”

He concluded by stressing that “Israel is dragging our region into chaos with its actions,” and appealed to the global community to “urgently act to stop Israel’s arbitrary moves that aim to plunge the region into disorder.”
