Arab Bridge, A Safe Option For Travelers Amid Flight Suspensions

Aqaba, June 16 (Petra) -- Amman-based Arab Bridge Maritime Co. (ABMC) said it continued to provide normal and safe services to travelers through its fleet operating on the Aqaba-Nuweiba international route with Egypt, with regular daily trips according to their schedules.
ABMC general manager Adnan Al-Abadleh told Petra in an interview that the Arab Bridge added trips over the past few days to accommodate rising demand and pressure on sea travel after many flights were cancelled or postponed.
He said the Arab Bridge is the main link between the Kingdom and Egypt via the maritime routes of Aqaba-Nuweiba, a two-and-a-half hour trip, and the Aqaba-Taba tourist route, a trip of 30 minutes.
"In light of the suspension and cancelation of many airline flights or diversions due to the recent escalation in the region, which prevented some, particularly tourist groups, from completing their tour programs or returning to home countries, the Arab Bridge demonstrated it is a safe option for travelers and tourist groups to reach their final destinations through its regular and reliable sea voyages," he said.
These trips allow passengers to travel to European countries, the United States, and other destinations around the world via Sharm el-Sheikh Airport and Cairo International Airport, said Al-Abadleh.
He said the Arab Bridge can transport Iraqi and Syrian passengers arriving from Egypt to Baghdad and Damascus, whose flight reservations were canceled, via the Nuweiba-Aqaba international sea route after obtaining the necessary approvals.
The Arab Bridge has transported more than 10,000 passengers in the past three days, he said, stressing the company's commitment to maritime safety standards and safe and reliable services.
