Relatively Hot Weather To Persist Through Saturday
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, June 11 (Petra) -- Most regions in the Kingdom will experience relatively hot conditions through Saturday, with higher temperatures expected in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
In a bulletin issued Wednesday, the department reported a slight drop in temperatures but noted that the weather remains relatively hot across much of the country. Hotter conditions are forecast to persist in desert and low-lying areas. Winds are expected to be moderate and northwesterly, occasionally becoming active.
The department urged the public to avoid direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours, particularly in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. It also warned against leaving perfumes or flammable materials inside vehicles due to elevated temperatures and encouraged citizens to stay well hydrated.
Weather conditions are expected to remain stable until Saturday, with no significant changes in temperature. Winds will continue blowing from the northwest at moderate speeds across most areas.
On Wednesday, temperatures across the Kingdom are forecast to vary by region, with eastern Amman expecting highs of 34 C and lows of 24 C, while western Amman will see slightly cooler conditions at 32 C / 22 C.
In the northern highlands, temperatures are projected to range between 29 C and 21 C, and in the Sharah highlands between 30 C and 19 C. The Badia regions will experience the highest temperatures, reaching 38 C during the day and dropping to 21 C at night.
The plains are expected to record 33 C / 22 C, while the northern Jordan Valley will remain hot, with temperatures ranging from 37 C during the day to 25 C overnight.
