Indian Biogas Association And Indianoil Collaborate To Advance Bioenergy And Bio-Hydrogen Sectors
This collaboration aims to harness the strengths of both organizations to bolster the nation's biofuels industry.
Under the agreement, IBA and IndianOil will establish a knowledge center dedicated to bioenergy initiatives. This center will serve as a hub for sharing technology, infrastructure, and skilled resources.
Additionally, the partnership will focus on training programs and capacity-building efforts to support the growth of the biofuels sector.
Policy advocacy is a cornerstone of this collaboration. The two entities plan to engage with legislators, industry leaders, and think tanks to formulate and propose policy incentives that promote the adoption of various biofuels, including biogas, bio-CNG, and renewable energy sources.
By facilitating coordination between central and state ministries, the partnership aims to create a conducive regulatory environment for bioenergy development.
This alliance builds upon IndianOil's ongoing efforts in the biofuels domain. The company has previously partnered with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to develop biomass gasification-based hydrogen generation technology, aiming to produce affordable, fuel cell-grade hydrogen.
Furthermore, IndianOil has been recognised for its leadership in biodiesel blending and has ambitious plans to expand its renewable energy portfolio significantly by 2030.
The collaboration between IBA and IndianOil signifies a strategic step towards achieving India's green energy goals.
By combining resources and expertise, the partnership is poised to accelerate the country's transition to sustainable energy solutions.
