(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, May 28 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a major initiative to upgrade 32 industrial areas across the state, including 10 in Ghaziabad.

These regions will undergo a transformation to provide world-class infrastructure and development facilities.

The responsibility for this massive project has been handed over to the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA). The plan aims to improve cleanliness, waste management, and infrastructure in these industrial zones.

UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari has outlined a multi-phase plan that addresses key challenges, such as waste disposal.

Comprehensive waste management systems and infrastructure upgrades will be implemented to ensure clean and well-maintained industrial environments.

The focus will also be on creating sustainable, green, and investor-friendly ecosystems.

The project includes industrial areas managed by six regional offices under UPSIDA. These include offices in Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Lucknow, covering major zones like Sikandra, Foundry Nagar, Udyog Kunj, Loni Estate, Kavi Nagar, and several sites in Meerut and Lucknow.

Among the Ghaziabad areas being developed are Site-1, Site-2, Site-3, Site-4, Loni Road, and Kavi Nagar. In Meerut, areas such as Sector-22, Lohiya Nagar, and Udyogpuram are included.

Lucknow will see upgrades in Aishbagh, Sarojini Nagar, and Talkatora. Other cities included in the project are Amroha, Rae Bareli, and Gorakhpur.

With the aim of boosting industrial productivity and employment, the government is taking firm steps to make these zones more efficient and appealing for businesses and investors.

UPSIDA has already begun working on project reports, and implementation will begin soon.

This initiative is expected to play a key role in the state's economic growth by enhancing the industrial ecosystem and attracting more investments.
