Istanbul hosts second round of Moscow and Kyiv negotiations


(MENAFN) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated on Tuesday that the Turkish metropolis Istanbul could have the 2nd phase mediator discussions between Moscow and Kyiv to find a resolution for the continuous Ukraine conflict.

Lavrov stated in a shared press conference after discussions with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Moscow “as for the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, if you ask me, I would again turn to our Turkish friends. Istanbul is very good.”

Türkiye assisted the 1st mediator discussions between Russia and Ukraine in 3 years in Istanbul on the 16th of May, as both of them reached a joint decision to a vast swap of inmates of 1,000 individuals from both nations, as well as to presume discussions to reach a truce.
