Kuwait-Hosted GCC Meeting Adopts Reference For Equalizing Scientific Certificates

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 19 (KUNA) -- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Aljalal said on Monday the 25th meeting of the GCC ministerial committee of higher education and scientific research adopted a unified guiding reference to equalize scientific certificates.
In remarks to KUNA during the Kuwait-hosted committee meeting, the minister said the gathering was crucial for enhancing inter-GCC cooperation and intergation at the levels of higher education and scientific research and manifested joint keenness on overhauling the higher education systems in the GCC countries.
The GCC countries' ministers adopted during the meeting the unified strategy for combating drugs, a unified reference for caring for talented students and those of special cases, in addition to establishing joint data bases as well as an attachement on promoting the Gulf identity in the teaching curriculums.
The 25th edition of the meeting concluded earlier today. Recommendations will be submitted to the higher authorities later. (end)
