OIC Condemns Israeli Occupation's Strike On Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, April 14 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned Monday the Israeli occupation forces' airstrike on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, considering it a war crime and a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
In a statement, the organization warned of the danger of the collapse of the health sector in Gaza due to the direct targeting of hospitals, the power outage, and the depletion of medicines and fuel needed to operate generators, threatening a humanitarian disaster.
OIC renewed its call on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to intervene, enforce a ceasefire, and ensure the delivery of medical, relief, and humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Sunday, an Israeli occupation aircraft struck the Baptist Hospital in Gaza and the northern Gaza Strip, destroying the reception and emergency departments, laboratories, pharmacy, ambulance building, and radiology department. (end)
