Cold, Cloudy Monday With Rain Warmer Days Ahead

Amman, April 13 (Petra) -- A significant drop in temperatures is affecting most parts of the Kingdom on Monday, with weather conditions remaining colder than usual for this time of year. According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, temperatures on Monday are expected to be 6 to 7 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average.
Most regions will experience relatively cold and partly to mostly cloudy weather, while temperatures in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain moderate. Intermittent rain showers are forecast throughout the day in northern and central parts of the Kingdom, with limited rainfall possible in some eastern and southwestern areas. Winds will be active and westerly.
The Meteorological Department has issued warnings about reduced horizontal visibility during early morning and late-night hours due to fog, particularly over high elevations and plains. There is also a risk of reduced visibility in desert areas due to dust.
A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Tuesday. The weather will remain partly cloudy and relatively cold in most areas, with moderate conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light rain showers may occur during the early morning hours in the north and east of the country. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, occasionally becoming active.
Weather conditions will stabilize on Wednesday as temperatures rise further. Most regions will experience mild weather, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see relatively warm conditions. High-altitude clouds are expected to appear, and winds will shift to moderate easterlies.
By Thursday, temperatures are forecast to continue rising, returning to their seasonal averages. The weather will be moderate across most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate, with occasional activity in desert regions.
Monday's temperatures are forecast to range between 17 C and 9 C in East Amman, and 15 C to 7 C in West Amman. In the northern highlands, temperatures will vary between 12 C and 5 C, while the Sharah highlands will see readings between 13 C and 4 C.
Desert regions can expect temperatures from 20 C to 8 C, and the plains will experience similar conditions at 17 C to 9 C. In the Jordan Valley, the northern parts will range between 24 C and 13 C, and the southern parts between 27 C and 18 C.
The Dead Sea area will see temperatures from 25 C to 17 C, while the Gulf of Aqaba will range between 26 C and 16 C.
