Putin says Westerners don’t understand Russia
(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that some in the West fail to understand Russia, but this does not impede the country’s development.
Speaking on Wednesday at a meeting of the supervisory board of the Movement of the First, a nationwide youth organization, Putin emphasized that such misunderstandings should serve as motivation to foster better global understanding of Russia.
“There are people in the so-called West who do not understand Russia. But this does not prevent us from living and developing,” he said. “Instead, it should inspire us to increase the number of people who understand us and want to live with us in peace and friendship.”
Putin highlighted the importance of engaging with young people to build a strong future for the country. “Success awaits us in this area if we actively and effectively work with children, teenagers, and young people—those who will shape Russia’s future,” he added.
Established in 2022 with Putin’s support, Movement of the First has grown to include over 11 million members. The organization aims to help young Russians achieve success by guiding them toward fulfilling careers and personal growth.
“Everyone, deep down, strives for success,” Putin said. “To reach it, one must find their path in life and a profession they are willing to dedicate themselves to. This is why Movement of the First was created.”
