Turkey, China Collaborate on AI, Medicine Projects

(MENAFN) Scientific and Technological Research Institution in Turkey and China's National Natural Science Foundation have decided to work together on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the medical field, concentrating on cancer treatment and magnetic resonance imaging, alongside shared efforts aimed at agricultural sustainability.

The two organizations have announced a call for collaborative research, with one of the key initiatives being the “Cancer Immunotherapy and Clinical Translation Research.”

This project seeks to create medical solutions, such as pharmaceuticals and vaccines, designed to boost the immune system's capability to fight against cancerous cells.

Experts from Turkey as well as China will undertake oncology research together by utilizing extensive data sets along with AI technologies.

Another aspect of the research includes the “Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Ultrasonic Medicine” project, in which scientists will employ AI to produce three-dimensional anatomical images by advancing magnetic resonance technology.

The “Green and Sustainable Agriculture” initiative will concentrate on research connected to the European Green Deal, a program that focuses on ensuring food security, tackle biodiversity decline, and mitigate the environmental and climate impacts of the EU food system.

Turkey is collaborating with the EU on this important effort.
