PDMA Warns Of Rising Temperatures, Dry Spell Across KP Plains
The plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience dry weather and a rise in temperatures in the coming days.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), daytime temperatures may remain 6 to 8 degrees Celsius above normal until next week.
The PDMA further stated that rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, and adjoining districts on March 6, 7, and from March 9 to 12.
The authority warned that dry weather could damage wheat crops in rain-fed areas and affect water reservoirs, while the increase in temperature may also raise water demand and the rate of evaporation.
