Russia Announces Talks With US On Ukraine In Riyadh Next Monday

Moscow: Russia has announced that it will hold talks with the United States on Ukraine next Monday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Russian presidential aide for international affairs Yuri Ushakov, in statements Thursday, said that the Russian delegation to the talks will be headed by Grigory Karasin, a member of the Federation Council, and Sergei Beseda, advisor to the director of the Russian Federal Security Service, and will include experts.

Ushakov told reporters after a phone conversation with US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz: "We agreed with Waltz that consultations on this matter in a bilateral format will be conducted by experts appointed by the presidents. These consultations will be held on Monday, March 24, in Riyadh."

On March 11, the Saudi city of Jeddah hosted talks between delegations from the United States and Ukraine. The US delegation included Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, while Ukraine was represented by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Defense Minister Rustam Umerov, and Chief of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
