Kuwait's CSC Decides Eid Al-Fitr Holiday

KUWAIT, March 20 (KUNA) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Thursday suspending work at all ministries, governmental bodies, and public institutions for Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which will be determined based on the first day of Eid.
In a press statement, the CSC said that if the first day of Eid Al-Fitr falls on Sunday (March 30,) the official holidays will be three days starting from Sunday (March 30), Monday (March 31), and Tuesday (April 1), with work resuming on Wednesday, April 2.
The statement also added that if the first day of Eid Al-Fitr falls on Monday (March 31), the official holidays will be five days starting from Sunday (March 30), Monday (March 31), Tuesday, (April 1), Wednesday (April 2) and Thursday (April 3), with work resuming on Sunday (April 6).
State agencies with a special nature will determine their Eid Al-Fitr holiday, with the public interest to be taken into consideration, according to the CSC. (end)
