Women In Cybersecurity (Wicys) And ISC2 Announce The Wicys + ISC2 Certified In Cybersecuritysm Certification Spring Camp
The WiCyS + ISC2 Spring Camp will train participants across five essential security domains: security principles; business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response concepts; access control concepts; network security; and security operations. Participants will have access to ISC2's online self-paced training for the CC certification, guidance from a WiCyS mentor and an ISC2 technical mentor, and open office hours for support with the curriculum. The program will run from May 1 to June 2, 2025, and participants must complete their certification by June 30, 2025.
"The cybersecurity industry needs strong, well-trained professionals from diverse backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives to the table to ensure our communities are secure. This is especially true when it comes to greater gender diversity to help address evolving challenges," said Dwan Jones, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at ISC2. "The Spring Camp program plays a key role in enabling this by supporting entry-level professionals in building a solid foundation of cybersecurity knowledge while also equipping them with the skills they can apply in their day-to-day work. These professionals will not only strengthen the workforce but also contribute to a more dynamic and innovative approach to tackling growing cyber threats, ultimately making us all safer and more secure."
The top three participants-based on exam scores, experience, and application essays-will receive scholarships to the WiCyS 2026 Annual Conference. Applications for the WiCyS + ISC2 Certified in CybersecuritySM Certification Spring Camp are open until April 14, 2025, with commitment forms due by April 25, 2025 at 12 p.m. CT.
