Demonstrators Gather Outside White House

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the White House to voice their opposition to Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza. Demonstrators called for an end to U.S. military assistance to Israel, expressing their discontent with the government’s stance on the conflict.

The protesters, many wearing keffiyehs and holding Palestinian flags, chanted slogans such as “Arms embargo now!” and “End this Occupation now!” They demanded that the trump administration take action to stop the violence. Some carried signs that read “End all US aid to Israel,” “Free Palestine,” “Release Mahmoud Khalil,” and “US bombs are making doctors in Gaza do amputations without anesthesia.”

Early on Tuesday, Israeli forces launched heavy strikes on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of over 400 individuals and left hundreds more injured.

This attack broke a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which had been in effect since January 19, as reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry. Many of the victims were civilians, including women and children, whose homes were destroyed in the bombardment.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military offensive in Gaza in October 2023, over 48,500 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have lost their lives, and over 112,000 others have been wounded in the ongoing conflict.
