
Bid To Smuggle 70Kg Hashish To Pakistan Foiled
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces have seized 70 kilograms of hashish being smuggled to Pakistan in Dur Baba district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Spokesman for the 201st Khalid bin Walid Army Corps Maulvi Wahidullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the corps border forces seized the hashish in Tabi Kando area of the district.
He stated that the smuggler wanted to transport the raw hashish through mountainous routes across the Durand Line into Pakistan, but border forces thwarted the attempt.
He added that the smuggler managed to flee, but efforts are ongoing to capture him.
