Ukraine, Poland Discuss Joint Arms Production
The talks took place during the conference "Polish-Ukrainian Military Cooperation: Traditions and Prospects," Ukrinform reports, citing the Ukrainian Defense Ministry .
First Deputy Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, said that Poland remains a reliable partner in Ukraine's fight against Russian aggression.
He noted that Poland has provided the largest support to Ukraine in proportion to its GDP -- 4.91% -- including military aid and assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
Havryliuk expressed deep gratitude to the Polish government and people for their steadfast support and comprehensive assistance.
"Poland was the first to supply Ukraine with heavy weaponry, initiated the tank coalition, and started delivering combat aircraft. Today, Poland participates in most of the 'Capability Coalitions' created to meet the specific needs of Ukraine's Defense Forces," Havryliuk said.
