While bringing to life a 500-year-old Andalusian Muslim tradition, Abdallah Hernandez, Abdelkader Harkassi, and Tariq Rodriguez, traveling on horseback for the previous three and a half months all the way from Spain, have arrived to Istanbul and are willing to pursue their trip to conclude the Hajj pilgrimage.
On their 8,000-kilometer (4,970 miles) trip, the three friends plan to arrive at Saudi Arabia through Syria after crossing through Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, as well as Turkey.
As part of an occurrence arranged by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, the institution hosted the pilgrims where they encountered students and supporters.
