Amir Accorded Official Reception Ceremony At Rashtrapati Bhawan In New Delhi

Doha, Qatar: An official reception ceremony was held for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani upon his arrival at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in the capital, New Delhi, in the friendly Republic of India today, February 18, 2025.

His Highness the Amir was received by Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India, and the Prime Minister His Excellency Narendra Modi.

The official reception ceremony began when His Highness the Amir entered the palace, where His Highness's motorcade was accompanied by a number of Presidential Guard cavalrymen until arriving at the ceremony headquarters. The artillery fired 21 rounds in celebration of His Highness the Amir's visit and in appreciation of the relations between the two friendly countries.

During the ceremony, the national anthems of the State of Qatar and the friendly Republic of India were played. His Highness the Amir inspected the guard of honour and shook hands with the official Indian delegation, including Their Excellencies the members of the government, senior officials, and military and security leaders.

The reception ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir.
