African Union Reopens Office In Tripoli

TUNIS, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Libya's acting Foreign Minister Al-Taher Al-Baour and and African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security Bankole Adeoye signed on Thursday an agreement on reopening the AU Liaison Office in Tripoli after 10-year suspension.
The document was inked on the sidelines of the 46th Session of the AU Executive Council in Addis Ababa in the presence of President of the AU Commission (AUC) Moussa Faki Mahamat, according to a statement from the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement welcomed the agreement as reflective of the continuous state of security in Libya, and the AU support to country's quest for stability and reconciliation. (end)
