Russia Claims Downing US-Made Rocket, 93 Drones

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Russian defence Ministry has claimed shooting down 93 Ukrainian drones and a rocket in the past 24 hours.

“Air defence systems shot down a US-made HIMARS rocket and 93 fixed-wing UAVs,” the ministry said in a statement, reported by TASS news agency.

Russian forces struck a gas and oil industry facility that supplied Ukraine's defense enterprises, military airfields infrastructure and storage depots.

The facility also provided supplies to launch preparation sites for Ukrainian drones in 152 areas, the ministry added.

The statement read:“Operational-tactical aircraft, strike drones, missile troops and artillery targeted a gas and oil facility that supported Ukraine's defense industry ... as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 152 areas.”
