War Update: 123 Combat Clashes On Frontline Over Past Day, Most Assaults In Pokrovsk Sector

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On February 7, the Ukrainian Defense Forces engaged in 123 combat clashes with the Russian invaders.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine reported this on facebook in a morning update on February 8.

The Russian forces carried out 106 airstrikes, dropping 169 guided bombs, and launched 2,170 kamikaze drones at Ukrainian positions and settlements.

Also, over 5,300 shelling attacks were recorded, including 127 MLRS strikes.

The Russians carried out airstrikes, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Pysarivka, Ploske, Basivka, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi Hai, Pishchane, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiivo-Druzhkivka, Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, Rozlyv, Novosilka, Novodarivka, and Huliaipole.

Over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 20 clusters of Russian personnel and equipment, as well as an air defense system and an artillery system of the Russians.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy attack near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, 10 Russian assaults near Zahryzove and Lozova were repelled.

In the Lyman sector, 13 Russian attacks near Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Novoliubivka, and Yampolivka were thwarted.

In the Siversk sector, the Russian forces launched 13 attacks near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske which were halted.

In the Kramatorsk sector, three clashes near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne took place.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian forces conducted 10 assaults near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian forces stopped 30 Russian assaults near Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Dachne, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, and Andriivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russians carried out nine assaults attempting to break through near Kostiantynopil.

In the Kursk operational zone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 28 enemy attacks, while the Russian forces launched 61 airstrikes with 89 guided bombs, and fired 404 artillery strikes, including 20 MLRS attacks.

No Russian ground assaults were recorded on the Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske sectors.

No Russian offensive grouping formation was spotted in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

Russians continue to shell border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions targeting Ukrainian settlements from their territory with artillery, aviation, and strike drones.

As previously reported, the total combat losses of the Russian forces in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 8, 2025, have reached approximately 847,860 personnel, including 1,210 lost in the past 24 hours.
