Tesla plans on taking back 700,000 automobiles

(MENAFN) Tesla is recalling 700,000 vehicles in the US due to a malfunction in the tire pressure monitoring system, which could increase the risk of accidents. The recall affects various models, including the 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The issue involves the system failing to consistently display a low-pressure warning light between drive cycles. Tesla plans to resolve the problem through a free software update and will notify affected vehicle owners by February 15, 2025.

This marks the seventh recall for the Cybertruck this year, following previous recalls for faulty parts and windshield wiper malfunctions. Tesla has faced several major recalls in the past, including a large one in February involving nearly 2.2 million vehicles and another in December due to issues with its autopilot system.
