Jordan King Underlines Need To Sustain Ceasefire In Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, 4 Feb (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, increasing humanitarian response efforts, and halting the West bank escalation during a Tuesday phone call with Senator Lindsey Graham.
Senator Graham is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Appropriations for the Department of State Foreign Operations and Related Programs in the US Senate.
A statement by the Royal Jordanian Court said the two also discussed the latest developments in the region.
King Abdullah pointed out the crucial role of the United States in achieving peace and stability in the region. (end)
